My name is Paige Sochovka, I am a lactation consultant and military spouse at Spangdahlem, Germany. I have found my calling with supporting new mothers and lactation. It brings me great joy to walk with a mother through her journey. I am a huge advocate for mothers and their right to breastfeed. I specialize with tethered oral tissues (tongue ties), low milk supply, pump optimization, and military motherhood. All of this was born from my own postpartum experience. I know how hard it can be, and I’m here to help.
Hi, I am Shannon and I am passionate about helping moms, parents, and babies! I am a doctor of physical therapy and I specialize in pediatrics and pelvic floor. My rehabilitation and pelvic floor knowledge is a great asset to have in a doula and I love to support families through their pregnancy and postpartum. I created “Mommy Strong” as a tribute to strong mothers in the military. I was raised by an incredible mother who served in the Navy and now I am an Army wife! My husband is currently stationed at Fort Riley, however, I do also offer virtual doula support and virtual pregnancy and postpartum classes.

Taryn became a certified labor doula soon after moving to the Wilmington area in 2015. While pursuing an education to become a RN in labor & delivery, she quickly realized that specializing as a labor doula was her dream all along. As a labor doula, she is able to devote herself to the support of one family at a time. Taryn and her husband were brought to the area by the Coast Guard and they quickly fell in love with this community. They have a son, miniature schnauzer, and a yard full of chickens. When she’s not going to a birth, you can find her outdoors in the sunshine with her family!

I want to empower women through the natural methods of childbirth. I remember the feelings of strength and control that I encountered when I had my three children at home in the presence of midwives. Now, I want to pass this on to other expectant mothers.
My background includes my love for natural medicine, a B.A. in Biology, a Childbirth Education certification through the Birth Connection, Labor Doula certification through CAPPA, Lactation Educator certification through CAPPA, Neonatal Resuscitation certification through NRP, BLS CPR Certified, and my experience working with Dr. Robert Wolfson, a perinatolotgist.

It has been my privilege to serve over 500 women and families from pregnancy to postpartum. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor (CLC), newborn care specialist, and student midwife. In addition to 8 years as a professional doula, I bring a background in early childhood education and advanced training in newborn behavior and infant sleep to the table, along with hours of continuing education every year to ensure I am providing the best support possible.
A mother of four myself, I have spent a cumulative total of 9 years breastfeeding my babies, with birth experiences that include hospital birth, homebirth, and a preemie in the NICU. I am wife to a wonderful husband and kitty mom to three spoiled cats. When I find a leisure moment, I can be found curled up with a cup of tea and a good book or tending my garden.

My passion has always been to help pregnant mothers and babies. Once I had my own I realized just how tough laboring truly is. If I wouldn’t have been given the support I was it wouldn’t have gone as smooth as it did. So I decided to become a doula to help other moms the way I was helped, to push for their dream delivery and help it go as smooth as possible. I would love to help out as your birth and postpartum doula during this time of change.

Then, I was introduced to the doula profession by a friend, and I am so glad to be able to help mothers and their families. Now, I am a mother of four miracle children; all delivered via cesarean section. Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, you deliver natural or via c-section, I am here for every mother and family for their unique pregnancy, birth, baby and postpartum needs.

Hey, I’m Ashley!
Growing families need support as they navigate new seasons of life and I aim to support them from conception to postpartum. It’s not easy and you shouldn’t have to do it alone. As a doula I want you to feel confident in your abilities to birth and parent your children. I have been working, with families all over the world for 3 years now, providing them with evidence-based information to make informed decisions for their journeys. As a mother of 3 I know how stressful it can be trying to navigate parenthood while trying to take care of yourself.
I studied and went on to certify with DONA International and have supported well over 50 families in the last 3 years. I find it crucial to continue my education and keep up with current studies. I have attended a Spinning Babies workshop, am currently working on my CLC, and studying with Still Birth Day to become a bereavement doula. I hope to have both of those certifications completed by the end of 2022.
In 2023 I hope to bring some new classes to the area as education is crucial when making choices for your family. I began my family at the young age of 19 and suffered from postpartum depression alone. That moment in time was tough which got me thinking about how I could change things for the better. My solution is to offer a free monthly program for new parents to come out and socialize with others in their season of life called Postpartum Pastry Hour. It’s so dear to my heart and I believe important for the community. In the event you are looking for more than a social hour, I am able to refer you to my list of resources to get you the care you need.
As a military spouse of 18 years, I know how lonely it can be moving often and being away from family and friends. It’s my passion to help alleviate some of that stress and to provide a safe space for learning. I’m a hugger by nature, a lover of all things succulents, a labrador enthusiast, and I love to laugh with those around me. My career has shown me that no matter how you become a parent, you truly are magnificent!
